Ameya Kohli (b. 2007) is an Indian-American oil painter and storyteller based in Texas. She has been creating art ever since she could hold a crayon. Now, instead of doodling mermaids and fairies, she creates realistic pieces that ask uncomfortable questions about the body, technology, society, and the quiet ways we lose ourselves trying to survive modern life. Art has become Ameya's way of processing discomfort, sparking conversation, and giving color to ideas that don’t always have easy answers.
When she's not hunched over her easel, she can be found roaming the aisles of books at her local library or cuddling with her dog.
